KtownBTC is a free Bitcoin education resource built in Terrace / Kitselas, British Columbia. We exist for people who are curious, skeptical, or just getting started — and for the communities that mainstream finance has historically underserved.

We don't promote Bitcoin as an investment. We don't create urgency. We don't gate knowledge behind sign-ups or sell courses. The education is free and always will be.

    Sovereignty Has an Economic Foundation

Political rights and jurisdiction matter. So does the ability to finance priorities, preserve capital, build productive assets and maintain institutional capacity across generations. A Nation may hold land, rights and political institutions while still facing real limits created by economic dependence.

Long-term economic sovereignty means developing the capacity to generate, control, preserve and deploy capital according to a Nation's own priorities. That requires more than investment — it requires productive assets, businesses, infrastructure, education, human capacity, governance and institutional knowledge.

    Generate Control Preserve Deploy

Bitcoin introduces a new monetary option into that discussion. Its characteristics make it worth understanding — they do not automatically make it an appropriate treasury asset. That distinction is the whole point of this project.

    Treasury Requires Governance

Bitcoin's characteristics make it worth studying as a potential long-term monetary asset. They do not automatically make it appropriate for every institution. Any serious treasury discussion must consider volatility, liquidity, custody, security, governance, accounting, legal responsibilities, regulatory considerations, concentration risk and institutional mandate.

KtownBTC approaches treasury from an education-first, risk-aware perspective. Nothing here is financial, legal, tax or accounting advice — institutions should undertake independent professional review before making treasury or investment decisions.

    An Evolving Body of Work

KtownBTC explores emerging questions at the intersection of sovereignty, monetary systems, institutional capacity and intergenerational wealth.

    Economic Sovereignty
How capital ownership, productive capacity and institutional strength shape practical economic independence.
    Bitcoin & Treasury
Opportunities, limitations, risks and governance implications of Bitcoin as an emerging monetary asset.
    Intergenerational Wealth
How institutions preserve capital, knowledge and optionality beyond a single generation.
    Governance
How long-term treasury decisions can withstand leadership changes, political cycles and short-term pressures.
